Info Session on UK Sponsored Italy Program

On Tuesday, November 13, at 5:30 p.m., in 207 Bradley Hall, Education Abroad will host an information session on the UK Sponsored, "Italian Language, Art & Culture in Tuscany" program.  Refreshments will be provided.

This program will be led by two faculty members from the College of Arts & Sciences, Dr. Matteo Benassi and Dr. Naomi Lugo, and Dr. Ioana Larco from the College of Fine Arts.

On this program, students will learn about the Italian Tuscan Renaissance through class lectures and visits to museums, churches and buildings that exhibit original art objects of frescoes, paintings, sculpture and architecture. Students will also study the poetry, music and architecture, particularly of Arezzo and Siena; and generally of Tuscany.

Arezzo is a lovely hill town and small but very lively city in Tuscany. It is very beautiful and less touristic than Florence and Siena yet is in close proximity to these popular cities. Students will receive instruction in the cooking as well as in the art of Arezzo and the Tuscan region and learn to navigate successfully in stores, the post office, markets and restaurants, etc.
